About Us
Ludgvan School is situated in the heart of Ludgvan village, near Marazion and Penzance, close to Mounts Bay. It is a modern building set in beautiful grounds with the benefit of superb views across the countryside. Internally, the school is carpeted and, where appropriate, natural materials are used for furnishing. All this helps to create a calm, attractive learning environment.
The school’s emblem is an anemone, which appears on the school uniform. This dates from the days when anemones were grown in Ludgvan in profusion for market.
There is a school hall in which the pupils have physical education, lunch and meet for assemblies. There are two playgrounds, a recently developed, all-weather surface outdoor areas. We share the spacious community sports field, which backs on to the school grounds.
The Oasis Nursery, which is on the school site, welcomes children from the age of 3 months, as well as offering holiday and before/after school care for pupils at Ludgvan School. The school itself caters for children from 4-11 years in 7 classes. Currently there are 211 pupils on role.
