The children of Trevose have settled in so well, and time has flown: we can’t believe two weeks have gone by already! I must say how delighted I am, to be working in Year 2! We have lots of great learning opportunities coming up, this half term. In Maths, we will be learning about place value; mental addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; and the properties of shapes. In English, we are learning the story of The Princess and the Castle, in which a little girl from Mousehole sails across the bay to St Michael’s Mount. We will soon be visiting Mousehole and writing about our visit. In Science, we are learning about animals, including humans; and in Topic, we are learning about the geography of our world, the UK and Egypt, our class country. In Life Skills, the children are learning how to organise themselves: at home, at school and as a team. In P.E, we are practising team games and dance; and in R.E, we are learning what Christians believe that Jesus taught us about kindness. All in all, we have a fun, packed programme, ahead of us! Mr McLeod.
