Marazion Marsh

jlovelock 18th October 2016

On Monday, Class 4 went to Marazion Marsh.

Class 4 had a fantastic day  adventuring around the marsh. Claire, from RSBP, spent the morning and afternoon teaching the children about the different types of birds living on the marsh and their personal habitats. Class 4 were invited to take part in lots of different activities. They had a go at using the binoculars to spot different species of birds, there was lots! Did you know? A heron’s wing span is almost 2 metres! They had to determine the best colour to be on the marsh to ensure predators couldn’t see you. Finally, they had to find different coloured ‘woolly worms’ to help learn about different species camouflage. In all, a brilliant day!
