Longships and Pendeen Class have been learning how to keep their teeth healthy!

Sophie Law 1st February 2017

On Monday, we had a visit from a dentist to teach us about leading a healthy lifestyle and looking after our teeth. We learnt all about the types of food and drink which are good and bad for our teeth (some of which we were surprised about). We also learnt about how long we should brush our teeth for each day and the best technique to keep them clean, two eager volunteers even had a go at brushing their teeth and seeing how clean they could get them! As well as this, we looked at some photos of teeth which hadn’t been looked after properly and discussed the qualities and qualifications you might need if you would like to become a dentist. Hopefully there will now be some budding dentists

in Year 3 and some very healthy teeth!

On the 12th July from 1:30-3pm, we will be holding a Careers Fair for KS2, particularly Y6. The aim of this session will be to raise awareness of the huge range of professions that are available to young people when they leave education. We are dedicated to preparing our children for their lives outside of school and this event will be the first of its kind that we have held. If you are available to support this event by explaining your job role, talking to children about it, showing some equipment or sharing some stories, we would really appreciate it. If you can attend, please contact me on a.anderson@ludgvan.cornwall.sch.uk. All careers and job roles welcomed. Thank you. ... See MoreSee Less
