EYFS Trip….

Chris Mottram 10th May 2015

king arthurWe have two trips planned for the EYFS next week: The Beach: We intend to make the most of the weather forecast and take the EYFS children to Long-Rock beach for a treasure hunt and a picnic on Tuesday (12th May). The children may wear their own (weather appropriate) clothing and must have a hat and sun-cream. Please ensure your child has sun-cream applied before coming to school. The children will also require a packed lunch and drink for their picnic on the beach. The children may bring a bucket to collect treasures and a spade, but please ensure they are named. Lands End: The EYFS children have really engaged in the Merry Maiden”s topic this week – they have even made their own film which will be previewed soon! Next week we plan to focus on the legend of King Arthur. To tie in with this topic, we would like to take the children to Lands End to visit the “King Arthur”s Quest” attraction on Wednesday (13th May). As we are there we would also like the children to experience the Wallace and Gromit exhibition, which is fantastic! Normally the entry fee for each of these attractions is £3.50 per person, per attraction. Lands End have greatly reduced this price and we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £2.50 to cover both attractions and the transportation. We will make a whole morning of this and intend to be back in school by 1pm. This will mean that the children will require a packed lunch and drink to take with them for a picnic. The King Arthur exhibition is a little dark and noisy in places, so if the children decide they don”t want to go in, we will make sure that an adult waits outside with them for this part. However we will make the most of our visit to Lands end including the play park! The children will need to wear their school uniform and have a warm coat with them just in case!! Thank you.
