Early Years shape challenge

awheeler 8th January 2016

In the Rainbow and Sunshine Classes, we have been learning all about 3D shapes this week! Mr Maths has been helping by using magic to turn flat shapes (2D shapes) into fat shapes (3D shapes). We have learnt cube, cone, pyramid and sphere. Some have even learnt cylinder and cuboid as well!

The children have engaged really well but we would like them to consolidate their learning at home.

We decided to set a challenge in the class to see who can find some 3D shapes at home and name them. We would then like them to┬átake a “selfie” with them and bring it in to share with the class. If you don”t have access to a printer, you are welcome to email them to the class email: ludgvanrainbow@gmail.com

Have fun!
