Money, Money Money!
On Wednesday Barclay’s bank came to visit Year 3 for their life skills unit of work, Finance and Enterprise. The children discussed the ways in which they use their own money and the ways they thought their parents used their money. They identified the differences between things we want to spend our money on and the things we need to spend our money.
The children also learnt how to use a cash machine and found out about how a bank works and the different roles and responsibilities within the banking world.
The questions the children were asking were very mature and showed a real knowledge and understanding of how the financial world is run.
We would like to thank the Barclay’s Bank team for coming in to do the workshops and for giving the children a hands on experience of money and its role in modern day society.
